Talk about a last minute breakthrough. A US Senator steps in at the very last minute to stop a high school valedictorian from having to leave school because his family was ordered to leave the country.
Arthur MKoyan graduated yesterday from High School was asked to leave the country in 10 days by the US Government. It all looked bleak until US Senator Diane Feinstein stepped in. She believes that the MKoyan family have been strong community members and deserve a chance to remain in the United States.
The MKoyan family came to the Unites States after the breakup of the Soviet Union and asked for asylum. Arthur MKoyan’s father is still in prison but is happy that his family has now been given an extension.
For the MKoyan family it will be a stressful period ahead until they hear the verdict of their situation. What Senator Diane Feinstein has given them is time and for that they are very thankful.
